Terms and Conditions

Last updated:

Welcome to Ceraminalco. These terms describe the general conditions under which we present the pieces and the project on this site. By browsing the site, you agree to read them carefully.

About Ceraminalco

Ceraminalco is a personal project by Camilo Valencia, a ceramic artist based in Malinalco, State of Mexico. Each piece shown here is handmade in his studio, in very limited quantities.

Nature of the site

This site functions as a space for exploring the project: a place to learn about the story behind Ceraminalco, see the available pieces, and, if any of them interest you, get in direct contact with Camilo.

The site is not an online store. There is no cart or checkout. The purchase of any piece is handled personally between the interested buyer and Camilo, who responds directly to inquiries received through the contact form.

Nature of the pieces

Ceraminalco pieces are unique handmade objects. This means that:

  • Each piece is one of a kind. Even if they belong to the same series, none is identical to another.

  • Natural variations in color, texture, glaze, and dimensions are part of the craft and the value of the piece, not defects.

  • The photographs on the site are representative of the actual piece, but small aesthetic differences from the image may exist.

By expressing interest in a piece, you recognize and value these characteristics as part of its handmade nature.

Availability and purchase process

The pieces presented in the "Available Pieces" section are shown with their name, code, description, and dimensions. Availability is updated manually and may change at any time.

If any piece interests you, the process is as follows:

  1. You send a message through the site's contact form.

  2. Camilo replies personally to discuss the piece, the price, shipping options, and payment method.

  3. The specific terms of each purchase —price, timelines, payment method, shipping conditions— are agreed directly between the parties in that exchange.

  4. A piece is considered reserved only when that agreement has been confirmed in writing and the agreed payment has been made.

Due to the unique nature of the pieces, a purchased piece becomes unavailable immediately.

Shipping

Currently Ceraminalco coordinates shipping to Mexico and the United States.

The specific details of each shipment —carrier, estimated time, cost, and insurance— are agreed personally with Camilo at the time the purchase is finalized.

Shipments to the United States may be subject to tariffs, import taxes, or customs fees charged by the destination country. These charges are not included in the price of the piece or the shipping cost, and are the buyer's responsibility. Camilo will inform you about this when finalizing the agreement.

Pieces damaged in transit

Each piece is carefully packed to withstand shipping. However, if your piece arrives damaged or broken during shipping:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of receipt at [contact email].

  2. Send us photographs of the piece and the packaging as it arrived.

  3. Keep the original packaging until we resolve the case.

Camilo will get in touch with you to resolve it in the best possible way, either with a refund or with a similar piece from the studio, depending on availability and by mutual agreement.

The natural variations described in the "Nature of the pieces" section are not considered defects.

Returns

Because these are unique handmade pieces, returns are not accepted for change of mind once the purchase has been confirmed. Each individual case —if any— is resolved in direct conversation with Camilo.

Intellectual property

All content on this site —texts, photographs, design, brand, and pieces— is the property of Camilo and Ceraminalco. It may not be reproduced, copied, or used for commercial purposes without written authorization.

Liability

We make our best effort to keep the site's information updated and accurate, but there may be typographical, description, or availability errors. Any data relevant to a purchase is confirmed directly with Camilo before finalizing the agreement.

Ceraminalco is not responsible for damage caused by improper use of the pieces (drops, impacts, exposure to extreme temperatures, etc.) once they have been received.

Privacy

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Notice, available on this same site.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of [State of Mexico / city preferred by Camilo], waiving any other jurisdiction.
